Ronnie Kent

Ronald Kent of Dowagiac, age 68, died on March 6, 2025. Ronnie was born August 15, 1956. After spending 4 years in the Navy and serving aboard the USS Puget Sound, Ronnie started a career with the Post Office. He began as a letter carrier, but eventually became a Customer Service Supervisor and enjoyed training his colleagues on new equipment introduced in the facilities.

When his daughter, Holly, was young, she loved hanging onto his thumbs and dancing on her dad’s belly. He was a big man, but a big teddy bear; impossible not to love him. An animal lover, he cared very much for his dogs, and the peacock that would roam his property once in a while when it escaped from his neighbor’s pen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Rita Kent; and his wife, Robin Kent. Surviving are his daughter, Holly (Ken) Baker; grandchildren: Austin and Autumn; grand-dog, Thumper; and a very special friend, Sherri.

Burial will take place Thursday, March 13, at 11 AM at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
