John F. VanderVeen

John F. Vander Veen, age 60, a longtime resident of Willowbrook, IL, passed away on June 3, 2019. He was born on July 14, 1958 in Kalamazoo, MI. John is survived by his mother Judith A. Vander Veen; Brothers Wm. Brock (Amy) Vander Veen and Andrew J. (Julie) Vander Veen; nieces Allison Vander Veen and Sydney Vander Veen. He is preceded in death by his father Paul J. Vander Veen. John graduated from Portage Northern High School in Portage, MI in 1976 and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University in 1980. John spent his working career as a marketing manager for 3Q, Inc. in Naperville. John was extremely active with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training. He was a former member of the First Congregational Church in Kalamazoo, MI. As a proud Alumnus, John was an avid fan of all the Michigan State University sports. He enjoyed biking, tennis, and playing hockey. He will also be remembered as being an excellent cook. John left this world too soon, but touched many lives during his time here. He will be deeply missed. A private service will take place at a future date in Kalamazoo, MI.
