Eugene Caswell

Eugene Caswell of Kalamazoo, age 89, died on September 18, 2022. Eugene was born September 19, 1933. After proudly serving in the U.S. Army, Eugene began working for Kalamazoo Metro. He enjoyed the daily routes and knew the streets better than anybody. He and his wife, Shirley, raised 6 kids. Rolling skating on the weekends was a regular event and bingo in the basement became a favorite family pastime with their kids and grandkids alike. And as anyone who knew Eugene would attest, he the gift of gab…and used it as often as he could.

Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, Mike Caswell; parents: Gaylord and Velma Caswell; siblings: Phil Caswell, Ira Caswell, Bob Caswell, and Rosie Kemp. Surviving are his children: Nora (Kip) Petzole, Patricia Leighton, Russell Caswell, Betty Jo Falor, and Susan (Craig) LaMarseillaise; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and his sisters: Virginia Winn and Nancy Blackman.
