Bob Cook

Robert “Bob” Cook, age 89, of Kalamazoo went to be with his Lord in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo. He was born on March 5, 1933 in Kalamazoo and he retired from the Upjohn Company in 1996. On Jan 5, 1957 he married Marilyn Walsh and together they had 65 wonderful years of marriage. Bob led a full life and he enjoyed fishing and playing softball until he was 80 years old. His teammates affectionately called him “Cookie” and this name was adopted by many family members. He was much loved by his family and will be dearly missed. Members of his family include his wife: Marilyn; 2 Children: Dorothy Walsh-Cook, Robert (Marjorie) Cook; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special family, the Sager family of Delton, whom he was very close to for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Cook.
