William "Bill" Quan

William “Bill” Quan, age 84, of Lawton, died August 30, 2025 at Maple Lake Assisted Living in Paw Paw. He was born January 5, 1941, in Mattawan, the son of Willis and Lillian (Shelenberger) Quan. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine in 2017; grandson, Steven Nielsen and by his brothers, Bob and Kenneth Quan. Members of his family include his daughters: Cindy (Frederick) Beach of Lawton, and Cheryl (Harry) Nielsen of Lawton, four grandchildren, Jason Beach, Derek (Chelsey) Beach, Kayla (Chad) Vetter, and Macy (Nate) Handley, great grandchildren: Kendra and Raelyn Vetter, Vivian, Valerie and William Handley and Natalie and Hazel Beach; siblings: Marie Galloway, Florence Whipple and Barb Anderson and many nieces and nephews. Bill and Elaine actively ran the family’s fruit farm. He was a millwright and seemed to always keep busy. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the family farm on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4-7pm.
