Following a lengthy stay at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Mr. Dickman, age 91, passed away on October 10, 2012. Bill was born April 17, 1921, in Flint, MI, to William and Bertha (Waters) Dickman. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and was a veteran of WWII serving in the European Theater. Bill was a salesman at Lorenz Brothers Buick in Lansing for 26 years and was a life member of Flint Lodge F and AM. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Marian and Roy Thompson. Surviving are two daughters, Amy Charney (John), and Jenny Hetrick (Gary), sister Donna Austin, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many special friends whom he met at Marsh Pointe in Haslett where he lived for over five years. Cremation has occurred and a private burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Saginaw will take place. Memorials in memory of Bill can be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Rose Arbor Residence. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Rose Arbor Hospice for their compassionate care. Their kindness and friendship will forever be appreciated.
