Stuart 'Stu' Jordan lived a life as solid and dependable as the trucks he drove for over 40 years. A man of quiet strength and gentle heart, Stu found his greatest joys in the simplest moments - whether hunting in the woods, fishing on a tranquil lake, or riding his quad through rugged terrain. But nothing brought him more happiness than gathering his loved ones close.

Stu was born during the challenging days of World War II on February 21, 1942. He was the fourth child of John Henry and Rena (Plaggemars) Jordan of Holland, Michigan.

Growing up in Holland, Michigan, Stu developed a strong work ethic and deep family values. These qualities would define him throughout his life. His long career driving truck allowed him to travel the country, and he became a devoted father to five children and a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather.

In his later years, Stu worked to build connections with and show support for his family. He was a man who could fix anything, from car engines to family disagreements, always ready with practical advice or a well-timed joke. His arms were open to all, welcoming family and friends with equal warmth.

Stu was happiest outdoors or surrounded by family. Some top travel destinations included an Africa adventure, a Newfoundland trip and hunting destinations across Minnesota and Michigan. He cherished traditions like canoeing down the Pere Marquette River and giving cribs to his first grandchildren. Even in his later years, Stu found new love with Gerry 'Tink' Owens, proving that it's never too late for a new adventure in life.

Stu Jordan's life was a testament to the power of hard work, unconditional love, and finding joy in life's simple pleasures. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and countless memories that will continue to warm the hearts of all who knew him.

Stuart Glenn Jordan, died on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Surviving members of his family include his wife Gerry; 4 Children: Daniel, Steven (Nathan Hood), Gwen (Jim) Stuut, Patrick (Shelley Schild); 2 stepchildren: Wendy (Lee) Geer, Ted Owens; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lynda Blaising and 4 siblings: Dolores Hyma, Leon Jordan, Erwin Jordan, Delbert Jordan.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Stu's remarkable life on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 2 pm at Betzler Life Story Funeral Homes. Let's come together to share stories, laughter, and perhaps later, a slice of Pizza Hut pizza or a scoop of Culver's ice cream - just as Stu would have wanted.
