Life Story / Obituary
Sandra Marie Shock passed away unexpectedly the week of July, 15, 2025, in Marshall, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep connection.
Born on August 12, 1960, at Mercy Hospital in Monroe, Michigan, Sandra lived a vibrant life filled with joy, compassion, and an unforgettable ability to make everyone feel like family.
Sandra was the beloved daughter of Rosemarie Garrett and Alvin Shock, and the loving sister of Thomas Shock and Rosemarie Shock. She was preceded in death by her cherished siblings Cindy and Michael.
A lifelong caregiver and leader, Sandra began her career managing group homes for the mentally disabled, where she was known for her dedication and empathy. She later rose to become a respected condo association manager, retiring with pride in Naples, Florida.
Sandra had an endless zest for life. She adored the ocean and spent countless hours photographing nature’s beauty. She loved all sports, the finer things in life, and never passed up a good laugh or a great glass of wine. She found her greatest joy in being with her grandchildren, showering them with love, stories, and the kind of attention only a grandmother like her could give.
She is survived by her children: Jennifer, Steven (Brandy), Christopher (Christine), and Lisa (Abel); and her treasured grandchildren: Dylan, Tyler, Colby, Garrett, Guinevere, Jack, Elvia, Sandy and Olivia. Her loyal puppies, Sierra and Scarlett, were never far from her side and held a special place in her heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Studio Neue, 384 Starkweather St., Plymouth, MI 48170. All who knew and loved Sandra are welcome to attend and share in honoring her memory.
Sandra would want nothing more than for everyone to carry her in their hearts and continue to laugh with one another. Her smile, her stories, and her unwavering love will forever remain with us.
