Age 84, died December 12, 2018 at Glenn Arbor Hospice, Battle Creek. He was born April 4, 1934 in Kalamazoo, the son of Albert and Letha (McCarthy) Kent. He was a proud Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Baltimore for 4 years. Ron worked at Consumers Energy for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita in 2014; sister, Barbara Dunfield; daughter-in-law, Robin Kent and brother-in-law, Tom Rafferty. Surviving are his son: Ron Kent; daughter, Holly (Ken) Baker and their children: Austin Baker and Autumn Estridge; step-daughter, Andrea (Daniel) Boyce-Kingman; his sister Sharon Rafferty and many nieces and nephews. Cremation will take place. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 21, 2018, 2:30pm at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. A memorial gathering will follow at the Kalamazoo Rod and Gun Club (7533 N. Sprinkle Rd.) Casual attire is recommended.
