Rod Galich

Rodney Galich of Kalamazoo, age 68, died on April 15, 2024. Rod was born February 18, 1956 in Kalamazoo to Joseph Jr. and Trudy (Derhammer) Galich. Rod’s love for camping, his close bond with family, and his infectious humor defined his life. He cherished his time at the campground, and his distinctive purple golf cart became a familiar sight as he visited friends. Rod took a genuine interest in the lives of others. Along with his quick wit and infectious laughter, he earned the reputation of a jokester who could effortlessly entertain.

Despite facing physical challenges in recent years, Rod approached each day with determination. Shopping trips with his mother became day-long adventures. Throughout it all, Rod’s love for Pepsi remained a constant and simple pleasure.

He is preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Randy. Surviving are his mom; daughter, Angie (Craig) Galich; and siblings: Vickee (Carl) Paul and Tony (Deb) Galich.
