Richard Galbreath

Richard Allen Galbreath, 85, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Sunday, January 04, 2026 at Bronson Hospital surrounded by his family. Born January 8, 1940 in South Haven, he was the son of the late Richard and Doris (Bailey) Galbreath and was the husband of Sharon (Cipriano) Galbreath. Richard attended Kalamazoo Central High School and after High School he was in the United States Navy for 8 years. Throughout the course of his career, Richard worked for General Motors in Kalamazoo, and Indiana. Richard’s love and passion was spending time with his family when ever he had the chance.

In his younger days, Richard enjoyed his cars and his antiques. He also donated to many worthwhile charities. His favorite one is St. Jude’s Cancer & Shriners.

Richard is survived by his son, Ian Galbreath (Lori Galbreath) and daughter, Jennifer Statler (Bill Statler); grandchildren, Timothy Galbreath, Gillian Galbreath, Ryleigh Zmudka, Gabriel Galbreath; Along with 4 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The family will have a celebration of life luncheon on August 22, 2026 at 1:00pm at Little John Lake in Allegan Michigan.
