Richard "Dick" Dunn, of Plainwell, age 80, died Monday, December 19, 2022, at his home. Dick was born August 14, 1942, in Kalamazoo, the son of Gerald and Marguerite (McCorey) Dunn. He retired from Consumers Energy after 37 years of service and owned and operated The Fly Inn Restaurant in Plainwell with his wife, Cathy, for 19 years. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and by a son, Sean Dunn. Members of his family include his wife Cathy of 41 years; daughters: Stephanie (Bill) Burns, Carie Dunn, Carmel Sackett, and Samantha (Felix) Lin; brother, Jim (Connie) Dunn; daughter-in-law, Sandra Dunn; 8 grandchildren: Ben, Jason, Sam, Grace, Caitlin, Parker, Emma, and Max; 9 great-grandchildren; and many friends. Cremation will take place. A Celebration will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 11AM at Betzler Life Story Funeral Homes, 6080 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 (269) 375-2900 followed by a reception in the Life Story Center.
