Life Story / Obituary
Age 72, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Borgess Hospital, in Kalamazoo. She was born January 18, 1941 in Paw Paw, the daughter of the late Everett Smith and Mina Breed. Patricia was united in marriage to Charles Weidman on March 13, 1987. He preceded her death in September of 1996. Patricia was a loving grandmother who cared for her granddaughter, Rose. She loved to go to garage sales, play card games with her grandchildren and work on jigsaw puzzles. She is survived by 3 children: Pamela (Jerry) Sparks of Lawton, Robert Morse of Mattawan and Billy (Tracey) Kurth of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren: Lloyd Sparks, Mina (Matthew) Hayward, Michelle (Ian) Claassen, Nicole Morse, Kristina Sparks, Clinton Morse, Rose Morse, Brad Young, Jacqulyn (Tyler) Cody, Josh Pellegrino and Jeffrey Kurth; 18 great-grandchildren: Mariah, Mya, Tristan, Andrew, Serenity, Angel, Skyler, Austin, Keegan, Leiahna, Elena, Aidan, Anthony, Robert, Gannynn, Jace, Lukus and Finn. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Morse. It was Patricia’s request to not have a public service, so her family will be honoring her wishes.
