Michael Brown of Mattawan, age 84, died on March 11, 2024. Michael was born December 25, 1939 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Brown; his brother, William Brown; and his son, Shawn Brown.
Surviving are his wife, Bette Zawacki; daughter, Natalie (Mark) Rose; daughter-in-law, Tracey Brown; grandchildren: Michael (Kayla) Brown, Madison Brown, Zoey ( Erik ) Dekker, Aaron ( Olivia) Rose; and several great-grandchildren.
Michael was very passionate about serving his community as a police officer for many many years. He made several lasting friendships while working at the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department.
