Life Story / Obituary
Mark E. Werner, born September 6, 1957, in Rochester, Indiana, passed away on September 12, 2025, in Vicksburg, Michigan, surrounded by his loved ones.
Mark’s childhood was rooted in farming and the 4-H Club, where he developed his strong work ethic and deep appreciation for agriculture. He went on to pursue a degree in Agricultural Science, graduating from Purdue University. Mark remained a proud Boilermaker throughout his life and was an avid fan of Purdue football.
Beyond his career and studies, Mark found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing on quiet waters, gardening, cooking for family and friends, and keeping a keen eye on politics.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Werner; his sons, Shea Werner of Colorado and Zach (Sara) Werner of Newaygo; his stepdaughter, Chelsea Wilbur of Vicksburg; his cherished grandchildren, Alden Werner, Wyatt Wilbur, Cason Wilbur, and Logan Wilbur; and his siblings, Georgie Braman and Scott Werner.
Mark’s legacy lives on in the love of his family and the many lives he touched along the way.
