Lynn Nordentoft

Lynn Nordentoft of Lawton, age 81, was welcomed by her savior Jesus with a “well done, good and faithful servant” on July 19, 2026. Her faith was a shining light to anyone around her and she was lovingly referred to as a prayer warrior by so many. Her testimony through hardships and joys exhibited strength, perseverance, and hope.

Lynn was born February 7, 1945 in Chicago. She enjoyed playing sports and would share many stories of beating the boys in baseball and basketball. She had a love of fine art and poetry, even penned many poems and crafted lovely art pieces, many which are hung in her and her family’s homes.

She has always loved nature and spending time outdoors with her family, as well as with her favorite late dog, Simon. Walking in the woods, camping, spending time on the lake, and taking pontoon rides all brought her a lot of joy and contentment.

She shared her love of art after college by becoming an art teacher. She decided along the way that she wanted to help people and got her Masters in Counseling and went on to become a substance abuse counselor. She realized she loved helping children and became a guidance counselor at Gobles Elementary and Middle School. This eventually led her to TriStar Molding, her family’s company, to serve as their Human Resource Manager where she was able to pray freely for the employees and bring them comfort in their time of need.

Lynn was devoted to her family. She raised her two daughters as a strong successful woman whom she gave the kindest, warmest hugs, and unconditional love. This continued as she became a grandmother. She was an integral part of their lives and they brought her such joy and pride watching them grow up—she was their biggest cheerleader and supporter. There was nothing she would not do for her family. She cherished all the travels, trips, dinners, shows, plays, games, camping, hiking, and made the most out of every moment. Her love of tradition, generosity, fierce love for her family will live on in each one of them.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Darryl Nordentoft, Karen Gerber, and Larry Nordentoft. Surviving are her children: Sheri Nicholson and Julie (Nick) DeKoning; grandchildren: Joshua and Sarah; brother, Mel (Paula) Nordentoft.
