Life Story / Obituary

With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Lucia Iris Seifried, who left this world far too soon on April 26, 2025. Born on August 3, 2024, Lucia was a radiant presence, a sweet spirit who brought joy and laughter into the lives of all she touched in her brief, yet impactful journey.

Lucia is lovingly remembered as the cherished daughter of Rebecca (nee Davis) and Matthew Seifried. She was the treasured sister of Kenneth Davis, and the adored granddaughter of Paula Davis, Bob (Claire) Davis, Mary Seifried, and Drew (Melissa) Seifried. Lucia's warmth and delight will also be missed by her devoted uncle and her godparents, Danny (Melina) Seifried, and her caring uncle Bobby Davis, along with her cousins Vae Davis, Daniel Pineda, Clare Seifried, and Luis Seifried.

From the moment she arrived, Lucia embraced life with a joyful exuberance that lit up every room. She was rarely seen without her beloved blankies, tightly clutched and snuggled close. Lucia's love for animals warmed her heart, especially for her dog, Penny, and her cat, Zuzu—who, despite a somewhat aloof demeanor, couldn’t escape Lucia’s unyielding affection.

Whether playing in the grass, giggling during peek-a-boo games, or dancing with her lively "bossy girl" moves, Lucia's spirit was one of pure joy. She adored being called a princess, relished her baths, and brought smiles with her big smooches and spirited goodbyes, waving with delight to anyone who would notice. At church, her voice soared above the rest, a sweet melody of innocence that will forever echo in the hearts of those who listened.

Lucia's family invites all who knew and loved her to come together in a spirit of celebration and remembrance. Her life, though brief, was filled with an abundance of love and happiness that will continue to resonate in our stories and memories.

Visitation for Lucia will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45239, on Friday (May 9) from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, 1150 Donaldson Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018 on Saturday (May 10) at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow Mass at Mother of God Cemetery. A celebration of her life will follow, where family and friends can share cherished memories and reflect on the joy she brought into our lives. We will walk together in reverence, honoring the beautiful light that Lucia radiated in her short but profound time with us. May we carry her laughter, her love for life, and her enchanting spirit in our hearts forever.
