Kim Squires, 45, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kim was strong-willed, independent, fiercely loyal, and adventurous. She lived life on her own terms and had a way of knowing exactly what she wanted. She loved deeply, stood firmly behind the people she cared about, and made lasting friendships throughout her life.

Above all else, Kim was a mother to her two children, Wyatt and Harper. They were the center of her world and her greatest source of love and pride. She cherished the time she spent with them and the memories they made together.

Kim spent nearly 20 years working at Stryker, where she built a career and developed many friendships that extended well beyond the workplace. She was hardworking, determined, and always willing to take on a challenge.

Kim loved being active and pushing herself. She enjoyed working out, lifting weights, biking, hiking, winter camping, and riding motorcycles. She had an adventurous spirit and was happiest when she was experiencing something new, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with the people she loved.

For the past five years, Kim shared her life with her partner, Greg Unternahrer. Together they enjoyed many adventures and created countless memories. A few years ago, Kim purchased property Up North, a place that became especially meaningful to her. She dreamed of eventually retiring there, enjoying the peace and quiet, and living a simpler life surrounded by the beauty she loved.

Kim is survived by her children, Wyatt and Harper; her mother, Connie Davis; her sister, Kelli Krause and her husband, Dan; her partner, Greg Unternahrer; her stepmother, Marcia Schroeder; her nieces and nephews; and many friends who loved her dearly.

She was predeceased by her father, Gary Harrington, and her stepfather, Lee Davis.

Kim's life was far too short. She leaves behind the people she loved, friendships she treasured, adventures she shared, and countless memories that will live on in those who knew her. She will be remembered for her strength, her independent spirit, her loyalty, her love of adventure, and most of all, the love she had for her children and the people closest to her.

A celebration of Kim's life will be held on September 19 in Wellston, Michigan at Woods Event Center.
