Joseph M. Gabb of Mattawan, age 80, died peacefully on November 28, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Joe was born December 27, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Joanna Gabb. Joe was known to work hard, but played even harder. Growing up he worked on his grandparent’s farm and eventually took over when he married his wife, Yvonne, in 1960. While working the farm and at the papermill, Joe became an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting and camping, traveling from Florida all the way to British Columbia.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; daughter, Linda (Frank) Fey; son, John Gabb. Surviving are his children: Brenda Gabb and Joe (Tamara) Gabb; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
