Jerry Lee Campbell went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Heart of Florida Hospital in Davenport, Florida. Jerry was born November 4, 1936 in Spring Mill, Arkansas the son of Tommie and Myrtle (Thompson) Campbell. On August 25, 1956 he married Alvenia Sue Campbell. He attended Community Christian Church at High Vista in Davenport, Florida and Decatur Bible Church. Jerry graduated from Cushman High School and attended Arkansas College. He was area manager for the Michigan Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Association a division of Michigan Farm Bureau. Jerry was most active in the Asparagus division. Throughout his career he visited farms all over the United States, as well as Mexico and China. He served on numerous boards including Hamilton Township, Midwest Energy Cooperative board of directors and the Van Buren County Planning Commission. Jerry partnered with his wife on their asparagus and rhubarb farms. In 2002 after buying a second home in Florida he began working at Universal Studios in Orlando. He did various jobs and enjoyed it very much, but had recently retired. H also volunteered doing neighborhood patrol through the Polk County Sheriff’s Department in Florida. Jerry is survived by his daughters: Debbie Lofthouse of Berrien Center, Sharon (Robert) Brooks of Portage and Carol (Tony) Hemenway of Decatur; his grandchildren: Jeremiah (Holly) Reinhardt of North Carolina, Joshua (Jessica) Reinhardt of Hawaii, Jedediah (Tara) Reinhardt of Byron Center, Jacob (Jen) Reinhardt of Florida, Jonny (Jocelyne) Reinhardt of Berrien Springs, Hayley Lofthouse of Berrien Center, Stefanie, Steven and Samantha Brooks of Portage, Wesley, Darren and Malena Hemenway of Decatur; and 11 great-grandchildren: Zachary Braun, Isaiah Reinhardt, Isabella Reinhardt, Isla Reinhardt, Irelynn Reinhardt, Jaxon Reinhardt, Avery Reinhardt, Lydia Reinhardt, Charley Reinhardt, Austin Reinhardt and Remington Reinhardt. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Visitation will take place Friday, May 5, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Betzler & Thompson Life Story Funeral Home, 60900 M-40 Hwy; Paw Paw (269) 657-3870. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Decatur Bible Church, with graveside services following at Hamilton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Decatur Bible Church.
