Jerold Neumann

Jerold Neumann of Portage, age 90, died on November 11, 2025. Jerold was born January 21, 1935, in La Porte, Indiana to Robert and Gerrine (Slater) Neumann. He grew up in New Buffalo. Athletic and outgoing, Jerold met his high school sweetheart, Sandra Burt, and together they shared 67 wonderful years. A proud U.S. Marine, he served in Korea before returning home and becoming a skilled pipe insulator. He and Sandra also built four of their own homes. Jerold was an avid golfer who spent winters in Ruskin, Florida, playing in tournaments and enjoying time with friends. He was also devoted University of Michigan football fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; and brother, Robert Neumann. Jerold is survived by his children: Vicky Neumann, Cherie Neumann (Richard Juriga), and Gerald (Alma) Neumann.
