Life Story / Obituary

“Trudy” as she was lovingly called by her friends and loved ones was a devoted wife, mother, and spiritual sister in her congregation. Born in Flint, Michigan on July 11, 1942 to her parents Roy and Isabelle Pearson. Trudy spent her days “keeping one foot in front of the other.” She enjoyed feeding the birds around her home and watching them from her window. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, listening to music, and sharing humorous quotes and jokes with those that she met; hoping to add a smile to their day. When she was greeted by friends and asked, “how are you doing?”, her reply would be, “fine now that I see you” . . . or “fine now that I see you Girlfriend.” She loved to share her love for Jehovah God with all whom she met. She had a full share witnessing by encouraging everyone to draw close to Jehovah by learning about him and his son Jesus.

Trudy was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Sammy, brother Roy, and her husband Edward Harden. She is survived by her sister, Theresa Pearson. Her two children, Daughter: Renita Broadway (husband Ty), Son: Lawrence McDay (wife Heather). Two step daughters: Vivian and Lois Harden. Six grandchildren: Tyree, Tyrell, Tyson Broadway (wife Kristen) – Kayla Worthing, Jessie and Demetris McDay. Four step grandchildren: Diyon’te, Quiana, Courtney, and Kevin Harden. Three great grandchildren: Sienna, Mason, and Troy Broadway. As well as nieces, nephews, and a loving brotherhood of Jehovah’s Witnesses from Flint, Arizona, Kalamazoo, and Worldwide.

Trudy looked forward to seeing Jehovah’s promise of life on a paradise Earth, we know it will be only a short time until we welcome her back—beautiful, vibrant, and in perfect health. We’re looking forward to that day!

(2 Peter 3:13) “But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.”
