Fran (Richards) Brandt

Frances (Richards) Brandt, age 58, of Galesburg, died on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Laurels of Galesburg. She was born on July 4, 1962, the daughter of John Arthur and Frances Rose Richards. She was the 7th of their 8 children and had wonderful childhood. Frances has lived her entire life in the area. Some of the things that she enjoyed doing was drawing, painting, playing the piano, and the guitar. Frances loved animals, including her two cats: Sylvester and Dutchess. A talented hairdresser she will be remembered by family and friends as a caring person. For the last few years, she has enjoyed living at the Laurels of Galesburg where she was well cared for. Members of her family include her daughter Kathrin Brandt, 5 sisters: Mary (Jerry) Van Tassel, Martha (Bill) Ritchie, Nancy Gustas (Harold Immekus), Carol (Tom) Anderson, Barb (Todd) Vogel , 1 brother: Jeff Richards and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Richards III and a sister-in-law Janey Richards. Cremation has taken place and private services will be held.
