Age 73, passed away September 26, 2018 at home after a brief illness. Born in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Charles and Agnes (Thibert) Jackson, Dick graduated from Central Catholic High School and the University of Toledo. In 1977, Dick began working for Hostess Cake/Wonder Bread in Toledo, moving his family to Portage, Michigan in 1985, to become Sales Manager for Southwest Michigan, retiring in 2012.

Dick was a devoted husband to his wife of 42 years, Michele (Shelley); proud father of Meghan Jackson Nagy (Jason); regarded as a second father by Elizabeth, Paul and Michael O'Brien, Sarah Aschemeier (Karl), Gary Stewart and Timothy Kynard. He was "Poppa" to grandsons Evan and Zachary Nagy; special "Uncle Dick" to Raleigh and Connor Aschemeier. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Annette Smith (Lester, d.); brother-in-law, Richard Smith; sister, Judy Barber (Dale); brother, Donald Jackson; sister-in-law, Karen Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held in Toledo, OH on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614, with visitation at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Richard and Michele Jackson Scholarship Fund through St. John's Jesuit High School and Academy, 5901 Airport Highway, Toledo, OH 43615.
