David Patnode

Age 58, passed away from natural causes on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at his home. David was born March 4, 1965 in Kalamazoo. David struggled with mental illness and addiction for many years which contributed to his early death. The family are thankful his struggles are over so he can be at peace. He was an intelligent man and enjoyed a good political conversation. Preceded in death by his parents: Lee and Katherine and feline companions: Asia and Jamaica. Surviving are his son, Nick (Katie) Pratt; 3 siblings: Deb (Tim) Beebe, Diane Patnode (Ken Fletcher) and Dan Patnode; nieces and nephews: Justin (Sarah), Brandon, Cassie and Jenny Beebe, Hannah (Tiff) Meier, Diego and Maya Fletcher, Honnah Patnode; Aunt Barb Larson and Uncle Jim Hopper; and several cousins and great nephews and, his feline companions: Coco and Cleo. Cremation has taken place. A Private Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023. He’ll be remembered for his good sense of humor, being a caring person and for sending cards to family and friends.
