Cydney Morris

On Monday, August 3, 2020, Cydney “Cyd” Morris, loving mother of two, passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones. Cydney was born on October 9, 1957 in Dearborn, Mi to James and Rose (Quillen) DeShane.

She was a woman of many joys and talents: studying and watching the birds around her beautiful home, music, singing and dancing, gardening, making things for loved ones. But above all she found joy spending time with friends and family. She was loved by many and known for her big heart, always willing to help those in need. She was never one to mince words and was straight to the point.

Although, she had many different professions, her true passion was always art. Starting at a young age, she found her passion in oil paintings. She went on to make beautiful pieces of art, many commissioned. Though she is no longer with us, her art remains. We will be reminded of her and her love through her art, which will be admired and loved for many years to come.

Cydney was preceded in death by her father, James, her mother, Rose, and her husband, Rick. She is survived by her sister, Kelly (David) Secord, and her brother, Joseph DeShane; her daughter, Ryane, and her son, Anthony (Michelle) Polley; her granddaughters, Lauryn and Loghan; her great-grandson, Leonardo; her cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Oreo.

An outdoor Celebration of Life with be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Anthony and Michelle’s house at 1 o’clock p.m. Flowers or donations may be sent to 210 Marion Ave, Hartford, MI 49057.
