On March 25, Carolyn went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a lengthly illness.

Carolyn was born on September 19, 1939 to Peter and Helen (Millek) Klobucher. She was born and raised in the Mattawan area. Her parents were farmers and grew many different crops. She grew up with 4 siblings, Rose Derhammer, Phyllis Derhammer, Peter Klobucher (deceased) and Madlyn Kiine (Kenneth). She was extremely close to all her sibling and had a great love for them.

Carolyn graduated from Mattawan High School where she met the love of her life, William Revore. She played the accordion for events and competition throughout her teens. One of the best stories she liked to tell her children and grandchildren is how she met her husband. It was in High School during English class when she sent a note to her best friend that she thought William was really cute. The note ended up going around the entire classroom and ended up at Bill’s desk. He read the note and replied, “I think I’m cute also”. That started the love story that ended with a 62 year marriage.

She was so proud of her 25 years as a bus driver for Mattawan School District. She loved driving bus especially in the spring, where she could see all the trees budding and starting new life.

William and Carolyn were married on Valentine’s Day February 14, 1959 in Mattawan. They welcomed three children in 3 years!!!!! Cathy (Steve) Welch from Schoolcraft, Carrie (Tom) Hall, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Michael (Belinda) Revore, Lawton. They raised asparagus on over 10 acres for many years. Carolyn biggest joy and pride were her children, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She loved being an active grandmother with sleep overs, movies, and Sandy Pines with grandchildren. Carolyn loved being a member of Sandy Pines Resort in Hopkins, Michigan for over 20 years and sharing it with her family. She spent all her summers enjoying her trailer and socializing with family and friends.

Carolyn enjoyed traveling with her sibling to Florida, Arizona and various other places. Carolyn LOVED getting together with the whole family for every holiday and especially their anniversary. She would take the whole family out to dinner with a celebration for their Valentine anniversary.

Carolyn was a very faithful and devoted Christian woman. She loved to share her love of Jesus with anyone who would listen. Carolyn’s legacy will be her love of the Lord and the joy of being a wife, mother and grandmother.

A private service and burial will take place. Please visit Carolyn’s personal web page at www.BetzlerLifeStory.com, archive a favorite memory or photo and sign her online guestbook. Memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn’s name to Heartland Hospice. Betzler & Thompson Life Story Funeral Home, 60900 M-40 Hwy; Paw Paw (269) 657-3870
