Robert Mrva of Portage, age 74, died on June 23, 2026. Bob was born November 23, 1951 in Owosso, MI to John and Bessie Mrva. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Edward Mrva; and sister, Carol (Dale) Birchmeier. Surviving are his wife, Peggy; step-son, Trevor Scholtz-Needham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his special friends: Russ and Leona Giordano, Tim and Brenda Bowers, and Joshua Waller.
Bob cherished the friendships he made at the Portage Senior Center, where he became an enthusiastic pickleball player after being introduced to the sport by friends. Whether on the court, riding with his bicycling club, or relaxing by the lake, Bob found joy in staying active and spending time with the people he cared about most.
