Robert Lee Kirk of Mattawan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 10, 2022

He was born on October 20, 1936 in Kalamazoo to Helen and Atchison Kirk and he graduated from Mattawan High School in 1954. Bob served in the USMC from 1954 to 1956. He was one of 5 siblings and his younger sister Evangline Morgan survives. He is also survived by his wife of nine years, Connie Hatfield Kirk. He was married to Beverly who preceded him in death and by whom he has three children: Lynden Kirk, Marcie (William) Willsea, Joan (Douglas) Opfer. Other members of his family include Connie’s two children: Brian and Chris Hatfield and their families, his four grandchildren: Tony, Matthew, Elizabeth, Amber and his 2 great-grandchildren; Anthony and Athena.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 18 at the Valley Family Church of Kalamazoo, 2500 Vincent Avenue, Kalamazoo 49024 with Pastor Jeff Jones officiating. A time of fellowship and food will be held immediately following the service.
