Bill Lee

William "Bill" Lee of Kalamazoo, age 86, died peacefully on May 24, 2021 at Rose Arbor Hospice. Bill was born June 29, 1934 in Marcellus, MI, the son of Arthur and Fern (Westphal) Lee. A 1956 graduate of Western Michigan University, Bill began his career with American National Bank and also worked for Old Kent and Fifth Third Bank for 43 years. Bill spent the last 25 years as a consultant to Parkview Hills and their principals. An avid sports fan, Bill cheered for University of Michigan. Sunny days were often spent on the golf course and he also enjoyed his Elks bowling league. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Lee; in-laws, Ruth and Dudley Phipps; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Gene Phipps. Surviving are his loving wife, Gloria; his brother, Donald Lee; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Private services will be held with inurnment at First Presbyterian Church. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Kalamazoo Humane Society, or Kalamazoo First Presbyterian Church.
