William Crowel

Age 90, quietly passed away on June 8, 2018 while in hospice care at Friendship Village of Kalamazoo. Bill was born June 14, 1927 in South Bend, IN the son of Forrest and Mary (Skoda) Crowel. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1946 and was U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Bill was employed in the printing industry most his adult life, working until the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Louise (Knapp), in 2002. Surviving are 2 sons: Mark Crowel and David Crowel; granddaughter, Barbara Strong; 2 great-grandsons: Casey and Jacob Strong; sister-in-law, Marie Knapp and nephew, William Crowel. Cremation will take place. Services will be held Thursday 11AM held at Betzler Life Story Funeral Home, 6080 Stadium Dr. Kalamazoo (269) 375-2900 followed by a luncheon in the Life Story Center. Burial will take place at Mt. EverRest Cemetery.
