Died peacefully at her home on January 10, 2020. Rosalie was born June 23, 1924 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Michael and Frances (Stozicki) Yovanovich. Rosalie and her husband, Robert, owned the Galesburg Coffee Shop for over 30 years. Following Robert’s death in 1981, she worked at Eaton’s in the cafeteria for 10 years. She was very active in her community including: Past-President of the Galesburg Lionist Club, Director of the Galesburg Historical Museum, St. Augustine Marion Guild and Past Grand Marshall of the Greater Galesburg Day Parade to name a few. She was also preceded in death by 4 siblings: Donald, Rudy, Marion and Mildred. Members of her family include her 2 sons: Michael R. Emmons and Daniel L. (Rebecca) Emmons; 2 grandchildren: Sarah (Shawn) and Robert; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visit with family and friends while sharing refreshments on Wednesday (JAN 15th) from 4-6PM at Betzler Life Story Funeral Home, 6080 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo (269) 375-2900 where Msgr. Michael Osborn will lead the Rosary at 5:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Paul J. Bradley on Thursday (JAN 16th) at 11AM at St. Augustine Cathedral. A luncheon will follow in the Cathedral Center. Entombment by the Most Reverend Paul J. Bradley at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
