Mitchell Hunter Mierzejewski had a larger-than-life presence in all the lives who were blessed to know him. You also know putting his personality and life into words is difficult and would include a few cuss words. He spoke his mind and showed great strength despite facing trials, even from a young age and made many friends along the way. He was tough on the outside but would share his warmth and good spirit with his closest family and friends. Mitchell will be greatly missed.

Mark and Tracy Mierzejewski of Lincoln Park, Michigan, welcomed their baby boy to the family on May 18, 1995. Mitchell was a happy baby from the very beginning.

In many ways, Mitchell grew up as a typical young man of his generation. His father taught him the love of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing, catching a 20-pound fish at only six years old. He also tried his hand at baseball and rocket football for a few years before deciding it wasn’t for him. At the age of 11, Mitchell became a permanent resident of southwest Michigan where he discovered a love of dirt biking, paintballing, and a lot of times he could be found riding his bike uptown with friends. Mitchell graduated from Paw Paw High School in 2013, eager to see what the future held for him.

Mitchell enjoyed working with his hands both for work and in his spare time. For many years, he worked with his father learning the trade of window and siding installation and built the foundation of his rock-solid work ethic. More recently, Mitchell wanted more independence and thrill so he traveled the country learning industrial maintenance and mechanics and even tried his hand at a fishery in Alaska. He was ready for wherever the next adventure and money took him.

Mitchell’s love of the outdoors from youth continued on into adulthood. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling to the family's cabin to help complete various construction projects, site see, kayak and of course, go fishing. Whether he was up north or at the local lake, Mitchell enjoyed being on the water and going fishing.

Another hobby that occupied Mitchell’s time was cars and to say he had a love of cars would be an understatement. He always seemed to have a new one, was fixing up the last one or was dreaming about the next one. He had a special interest in foreign made vehicles but also appreciated a good truck.

Mitchell chased adventure throughout his entire life but most recently talked about returning to Alaska and wished for a wife and to start a family of his own.

Mitchell died at home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother Tracy, brother Curtis Michener, and grandfathers Raymond Mierzejewski and Wally Leeper.

Surviving are his parents: Mark (Diane) Mierzejewski; two sisters: Chrissy Michener, Ashley (Mike) Hanley: nephew: Jonah; niece Ariah; two brothers; grandmothers Ingrid Leeper and Virginia Mierzejewski along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Cremation has taken place and a service with a Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Red Arrow Ministries, 3133 Red Arrow Highway, Paw Paw. Mitchell and his beloved companion Bentley will be laid to rest with his mother in Spring Grove Cemetery in East Liverpool, OH. Please consider making a donation in Mitchell’s name to your preferred mental health or addiction/ recovery organization.
